Playing

How do I discard?

On your turn, tap a tile to lift it, then tap it again to discard. Drag tiles left or right to arrange your hand.

Where are the rules?

Tap How to Play on the front page. It covers tiles, claiming, tai, limit hands, payouts, ranks and the Hall of Fame. You can change the tai limit and other house rules in Settings.

Is real money involved?

No. Stakes and the bankroll are play money with no cash value. There are no in-app purchases.

Ranks and bankroll

How do ranks work?

Winning earns League Points (LP) and paying costs a little. Fill five stars to move up a rank, from 新手 Rookie to 雀聖 Mahjong Master. You never drop down a rank once you reach it. Computer players get smarter as you climb.

My bankroll is negative. Can I reset it?

No. The bankroll can only change by winning or losing at the table. That keeps the leaderboard fair. You can always keep playing with a negative bankroll.

Playing with friends (LAN)

• All iPads must be on the same Wi‑Fi network.
• When asked, allow SG Mahjong to find devices on your local network. If you said no, turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
• One player taps Host LAN, the others tap Join LAN and choose the table. The host starts the game; empty seats get computer players.
• If someone leaves, a computer player takes over their seat. If the host leaves, everyone returns to the menu.

Hall of Fame and leaderboards

How do I share a big win?

Hands worth 5 tai or more are saved to Big Wins. Open one and tap Share to Hall of Fame. You need to be signed in to iCloud.

How do I remove my post?

Open it in Big Wins → My Big Wins and tap Remove from Hall of Fame.

How do I report or block someone?

In the Hall of Fame, open the post and tap Report Post or Block. Reported posts are reviewed within 24 hours. To see blocked players again, use Settings → Unblock all Hall of Fame players.

Leaderboards don't appear

Sign in to Game Center in the iPad's Settings app, then tap your rank card on the front page.
